I remember reading an article in the news papers in which a Police Officer said "जेव्हा सामान्य माणुस वाहतुकीचे नियम तोङायला लागतो तेव्हा शहरात गुन्ह्यांचं प्रमाण वाढलेलं असतं"... which means that when a common man starts breaking normal traffic rules, you can say that the number of crimes in the city are increasing.
And today, when I saw school children breaking traffic rules, I just thought what would this statement mean for such a situation.
May be these two are not related at all, but if this is what the children know from school days, I wonder weather they will ever know that they are breaking the rules or they will think that this is the way one should drive :(
I am not of the opinion that children dont have enough subjects in the school right now, but may be traffic discipline is best taught when you are learning to ride a bicycle, say in 8th to 10th standard. And off course, their parents should also be invited to attend those lectures !! Thats one more subject I think is required for at least schools in Pune :D
